Re: Denoiser ON makes PC slow

do you mean rendering speeds increases by 200-300% if you only denoise on completion?

Include/Exclude lights in standalone + 3dsmax

hi all,

Isn't there a way to have an emitter emit light only on certain objects? :o
Imagine I have a plane with two boxes with a spotlight above it.

Scenario 1: simply telling the spotlight to not include one of the two boxes.
Scenario 2: simply telling the spotlight only include one of the two ...

Re: Octane render experiments

Trying out another take on the Photon kernel built from scratch. A few softbox lights, no IES, HDRI, ACES, some post in PS. Rendertime about 15 minutes, took a few minutes to render region out the caustics. The PT + AI denoiser takes about 2 minutes, though subtle details in f.e. fabrics are less ...

Re: Rendering at 240 fps

Woow! Had to look that up, but would that mean we will be able to render content in the line of this?
