OK, from my own troubleshooting, this was driving me crazy.
Solaris has a motion blur node, if you add that, then motion blur works in Solaris for Octane.

The only downside to this, is that it only works when rendering to Mplay. Not in the viewport. Have to remove the motion blur to see the ...

Did this trick while using Redshift. Now, I was doing it with Octane. There must be a way? Triplanar feels useless without using a rest position?
Like, triplanar only works for non-animated objects?

Talk about timing. I was having this exact problem, one hour in I get an email (I follow Houdini/Octane related topics in this forum).
Bought ODTools, do this: https://vimeo.com/504471849 and converted like 40 materials to Octane in a second.

Tried the workflow with ACES and After Effects. Just incredibly slow, can't work with it.
Not sure if it's the EXR in general still, or the ACES conversion or both.

Probably works better with Nuke or Fusion.

Aah! I tried it now, but same as with the C4D version, it just crashes the 3D Software before it starts up.
Upgraded to Big Sur 11.2 today, tried again. Still crashes.

Can I ask, are there any plans to make the plugin work for Mac, now that there is a standalone working for the M1 Metal Big Sur?

Can't remember doing a scene that works without Full scene reload mode? :lol:
Be aware that now the plugin can update the scene even while working with objects without a constant topology.

Is it possible to export .orbx now? And does it work with "Full Scene Reload"?

I have Archive > [x] "Export ORBX and Alembic files" checked in my Octane ROP.
Export Mode "Full ORBX scene". Base file name "$JOB/yes.orbx"
But it doesn't work. There should be a Save button, confusing to click "Render ...
