octane seems not to support ocio v2.3, which houdini 20.5 has.
with houdini 20.5 ocio v2.3 config octane isnt show up any ocio views...
also with ocio v2.1 octane has difficulties, with that i get these inconsistency in color display on mplay-IPR and qt5-IPR.
So, what ocio version octane 2024.1.2 ...

thx for the reply.
i also thought about the hdr as the cause of the issue, but switching the env to daylight, gives me similiar issues.
the GI is already clamped to 10 (instead of 1e-10 as the default) and setting this way down to 1 doesnt help...
by changing the material to a standard ...

thx for the reply.
i am on h20.5.445 and its by default ocio color managed. mplay also, i have the image controls set to aces 1.0 sdr view.
switching the ipr to mplay-mode in the octane options gives me these differences.
i would expect the same image appear in both...

IPR saving ACES EXR
hi,
can someone direct me on how to save out an raw ACES EXR from the IPR Window?
when selecting .EXR it saves the image with a double sRGB curve.
and i am totaly confused about IPR windows...
when switching IPR to MPlay in the options i get totally different image colors!
What is the right way ...

i am getting strange artefacts (negative values) in rendering glass materials (Material_Specular), and i cant nail it down what causing the issue.

i run in the same issue, but with ACES...
-color management is turned off
-rendering space is set to acescg in the octane ocio render settings
-exr is the output format and set to acescg
the imager seems to have no effect....ocio-view and ocio-look are connected...changing views here have no effect ...

seems to work with the rsMaterial only, not with the rsStandardMaterial...
also the converter generates a octaneUniversal only and ignores bump and normalmaps...(dispkacement didnt tried yet...)
so seems very limited...
is this converter a script that can be found somewhere in the octane ...

in maya 2020.4 denoising works, but not in maya 2023...???
but in both mayas, the environment visibility flags wont work...
concerning aces setup, i think it works by just enabling mayas color management and set rendering-space to ACEScg and the corresponding view, and in the octane-rendersettings ...

im on maya 2023.3, octane 2023.1.2 from today...
i run into some problems using the imager...it seems to have no effect on the renderings at all...
my goal is to setup octane with aces...
-in the imager the ocio-view-node have no effect on the rendered image...
-also when enabling the denoiser ...
