I have been experiencing many crashes with Octane PR14 / Cinema 4D R26 - especially when using the node editor. I could somewhat reduce the crashes by not having the live viewer and Node editor open at the same time.

Now I have been wondering if the new Octane builds are optimised for M1/2 ...
