This octane_scatter plugin is still very useful if you work with standalone. This should be pinned topic so any sketchup user could find it immediately!
It's a piece of good teamwork: bravo TIG and smicha!

Very interesting! Sketchup + Octane are my everyday combo for indoor/outdoor renders (+ Photoshop). I think i could work and test the plugin at the same time. Please see the file attached.

I'm an architect too and use Sketchup with Octane very often. Integrating both would significantly speed up my workflow in simple renders.
However I combine shapes from several .obj’s in Octane to cope with very detailed geometry (thanks to “Octane scatter data from components”), this I fear may not ...

Unfortunately I had to change this version back to 07, due to the smooth problem. Two examples of sketchup component with smooth elements were exported randomly. One edgy, one smooth.
07 is fine so far.

I believe however, Autodesk will never allow this... After observing its monopolistic policy i have to say - forget it! Revit code is something protected and secret.
I wish anybody proved I'm wrong!

I have thesame problem.

I tried RVT > DWG > Sketchup and than render in octane - unfortunately there is a loss of materials.
Revit import in Blender didn't work at all for me. I'll try a simpler model.

I think there would be plenty of potential customers if there was simple import from revit. In ...
