Re: IMPORTANT Notice: Nvidia 196.75 driver may overheat GPU
This problem doesn't just affect Windows…
Nvidia wrote:We believe recent NVIDIA UNIX graphics drivers are affected by a recently reported fan speed issue in 195.36.08 and 195.36.03.
Until the problem is resolved, we recommend that UNIX users revert to the 190.53 web release, or the 195.30 public beta.

Congratulations everyone!
I'm one of the judges and have just finished going through all the entries, it was much harder to narrow them down than I had expected.
I'd like to congratulate everyone on making so many great renders (despite the limits of the first beta versions).

Re: licence question

You'll need to get one licence per machine. If your working on the same machine then sharing will of course be fine.

Re: Octane keeps crashing, error report?
Shame,
this doesn't seem to apply anymore in Windows 7 (64bit).
Only vista and XP seem to feature the reg-settings.
I just got around to testing the registry settings and they worked just fine on Win7. I've attached the setting I ended up using, which was a increase of TdrDelay & TdrDdiDelay to 6 ...

Re: Octane keeps crashing, error report?
I've got 240 cores and have had this problem when testing high resolution renders with a lot of bounces. I've not had time to test with the registry setting (also testing under win7 x64), I'll give it a try later.Edwin.k. wrote:Slow fps (max 3) should not happen with 128 cuda cores per card right?

Re: Crash and snow
You can use CTRL + left click to pan the render (see the post that followed the released for more info).sam75 wrote:When i change the resolution the render view goes off screen, is there a way to center it back ?
