Too bad we still see "beyond" the cube. It shows the infinity behind itself, and not just its sinside.
But still, it will suits most effects.

Yeah, the maya's "cut face" tool is similar to the Max's "slice" modifier.

Try to make a specular material with a refractive index of 1 and no roughness. Apply that material to the cube volume you desire. Apply an Octane object tag to all the geometry that you want in the interior and toggle to ...

I got some succesfull attempts using the "cut face tool", and parenting their gyzmos to locators on the side of the "renderbox", but I still have issue with animated objects.

the "cut" act as if the animated object was still at the same spot as he was at frame 1

Hello everybody,

One of my PCs cannot load the octane plugin (OctaneRender for Maya 2.23.2 - 7.4) on Maya 2015.
After the installation, when launched from the maya's plug-in manager, I only get an error message :

Hi Thomas,

I work with direct lighting but i try with path tracing and it's the same result.

my scene contains paper props so i use SSS and i have nothing on the render layer

nothing on some render passes

hi all,

Since today i try version 2.23.2 - 7.4 of the plugin and i have a problem.

When i render shadow pass, sss pass, or indirect diffuse for example nothing appears in my pass?
Occlusion or refraction passes... work fine.

Anybody knows what's the problem?
