Using fractal noise textures for materials may cause crashes when analytic lighting is applied
Other types of noise textures work fine.
However, crashes occur when fractal noise is used

Re: sphere shape light use analytics cannot use post volume and light beams
What are those "effects"?
like this:

I just want to create a glowing sphere with light beams, like those in nightclubs or bars. Using volume fog results in a lot of noise and slower rendering. Fortunately, by adjusting the light spread angle, I achieved a ...

sphere shape light use analytics cannot use post volume and light beams
If sphere lights could utilize light beams, more effects would be achievable.

Why can't baking texture be used for field texture?
I want to control the displacement map by using field texture, but it doesn't work. What's wrong?

Re: How to render a realistic moon in the sky?
In production, this would typically be done in post (compositing of multiple layers). This is the fastest and most efficient. Octane has a built-in compositor where similar (if not identical) compositing setup can be created (same logic as in post, universal techniques).
This would also make it ...

How to render a realistic moon in the sky?
I want to render a realistic moon in the sky. If I place it in an HDR environment, its shadows don’t blend seamlessly with the sky.
How can I make it appear as if it’s outside the atmosphere?
I tried using Octane Daylight fog and Volume fog, but the results were not satisfactory.
Any suggestions ...

Re: Analytics light and Transparent material problem
Project scale and asset-level scaling (not the whole project or "scene") do matter for several reasons and on different aspects.
• When it comes to light, Octane takes a relatively more physical approach, than let's say Cycles, where scale changes the "emission output" unless the corresponding ...

Re: Analytics light and Transparent material problem
The "screen capture" files do not include all possible factors (the project files can only be opened by C4D users).
Some thoughts that could help:
1. When using Universal Material, transmission, when "enabled", is defaulted to a Specular mode
2. The asset seems to be a simplified character where ...

Analytics light and Transparent material problem
Hi~
When I use analytics light and sss material together, strange things happen to the characters But when I use primitive lights, or close the transmission channels, it goes back to normal Why does this happen? The file is attached.
