Hosek Wilkie sun flickering
Hi,
I noticed some nasty flickering when the sun size is set to less than 1. It goes worse at it approaches 0. I attached an Houdini scene even though I guess that it might be more related to Octane itself.
Hope this could be fixed rather quickly as we rely on sharp shadows and a nice physical ...

Re: PDG batch render network slaves not available
I updated Houdini and after several attempts, it finally worked ! Honestly, I'm not sure Houdini's version was the issue and I'm pretty certain I had released all slaves before rendering...
Anyway, thanks a lot for your time !!

Re: PDG batch render network slaves not available
Hey everyone!
Thanks jahl519 for the tip!
Unfortunately, I'm still unlucky at running this succesfully.
I'm loading the scene files using a Ropfetch and Houdini version is 18.5.408.
I attached a simple example using my setup. Just dive into /obj/LC_Control_Center1/batch_render to get to the PDG ...

Re: OctaneRender 2020.2 for Houdini Beta build 2020.2.0.2 RC7
Hello,
I noticed this version introduced a bug when using the "forced phantom" option in the Octane ROP for rendering an animation. Only the first frame is rendered correctly. You can check in the attached file that the sphere becomes visible again from frame 2. Simply render it to disk.

Re: PDG batch render network slaves not available
Hey Juanjo,
Thanks for replying!
Unfortunately, setting the slaves from the standalone interface didn't work. I also tried to create an Octane ROP in the scene from where the PDG graph is executed and then set the network options from there but it didn't work either.
It seems that it happens on a ...

PDG batch render network slaves not available
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to setup some render manager to batch render multiple scenes on a single machine using a ROP fetch in PDG. Unfortunately, it's not using the network slaves. Any idea as to how I could make this work ?
Thanks in advance
Ben

Re: Control sun with light in viewport
Hello again,
For anyone interested in some sort of solution, here is mine :
- At object level, create an environment light node. I had never used it so I don't know why I can't move the gizmo. Using qLib's instead did the work. (https://github.com/qLab/qLib)
- Unlock your render target node and ...
