Sorry............
but the dev of the plugin is a complete joke!
But hey..... the c4d user did their job to test the early versions of octane
and made enough example images to promote this product.
Now they are no longer needed.
The same **** as with maxwell and fry!

Re: New Year's open themed still image competition (OPEN)
Hehe.......... last one is funny!
Ok. I´ve found some time to model a new object in Moi3d.
It was imported into c4d, where I setup the scene and add some maps.
Export to Octane was done via the plugin.
One cellphone has about 240.000 polygons
Rendertime with pathtracing about 30 min.

Re: New Year's open themed still image competition (OPEN)
Scene was done in Cinema4D.
Pretty much geometry form Artrecon and some highres maps from Arroway.
Scene needs only 700 mb on my gfx card

Re: New Year's open themed still image competition (OPEN)
Thanks :)
I usually render my images overnight....... but with Octane I´ve
to change my workflow ;)
Maybe a batchrender modus would be nice ..........
The image needs 5 hours to reach 16000 samples......... I guess.
So it should be good cooked after 1-2 hours.
For the rendering I use one gtx460 ...

Re: New Year's open themed still image competition (OPEN)
Hi all,
I´m new to Octane and did my first rendering.
Scene was done with Cinema4D.
I use one map from Arroway for the wood floor.
One diff map for the cross and one bump map for the metal was painted with BodyPaint.
I´ve tried to upload the image here but it is 4096x2048 and is 10 mb big ...

Re: C4D-> octane export plugin
Hi,
thanks for the nice welcome :)
Hi Cornel! Nice to see here........ sure, how can I forget about you ;)
Any tips which version I should go for?
I´ve read that the 2.35 has problems with relinking of materials in animations.
So better try the 2.41?
Can I install different versions here on pc ...
