I'm terrible sorry, I was quite sure something was wrong, even made a short video to show it. Turns out I needed to "enable" render-passes in the Render Settings to override the Octane Setting.
So... User bug.

LayerID doesn't obey Render Settings
A minor one but I noticed that if I change the LayerID in the Render Settings, nothing happens. It seems that what is set in the Octane Dialog is what dictates the setting for the final renderer.

Re: Version 2.16.2
Cool thing about the side-texture, But I'm not sure how to use it. All it gives me are a "invert" parameter. In the nodegraph it shows me no inputs.

Re: Bathtub Bubbles
I don't know if this download is a shader network which you can examine, but looks cool.

Re: How do i USER Live DB - Self containing Materials?
It seems to work fine when downloading from LiveDB materials. There I can download a material with mixmaterial as base and other needed nodes and textures with appropriate links.

Re: How do i USER Live DB - Self containing Materials?
Looking at The plugin version history I see that some changes in livedb has been made for 2.05, I have 2.03 atm so I'll try the current version when time allows.

How do i USER Live DB - Self containing Materials?
Hi!
I'm looking for organising my materials but I really don't know how to go about it.
As of now, I've made materials in Octane Standalone and put them in a material macro and saved that macro to the Local DB. I've then copied the files over to the folder which I can access from C4d, (LiveDB ...

Re: Proxy objects?
Hmm I don't know, After hitting render, almost mediately, the GPU memory clock maxes out. I'm not super sawy but I translate it as 95% of the export time is octane trying to fill the GPU?

Re: Octane and Carbon Scatter 2
Carbon scatter works fine with the LiveViewer on my machine so there's no reason that it wouldn't work for you.
EDIT: well not in REAL-time I have to press the Reload button once I make any changes. I use "pointcloud" as proxy method in CS2 to approximate the scene.
