it might be already discussed but why don't you put medium input for glossy material ?

preview swatches seems wery well optimized !

the change of light power settings is good too

At least this is not Autodesk the killer of innovation... (not yet :? )

If this gives you additional opportunities without prejudice to the purpose of the product and customers, even in the long therm, it's good for all of us.

I hope especially this will help Octane to reach a level even more ...

i so agree with that proposition !!

an horizontal node system like maya subscription advantage pack 2012 or xsi ones would be great.

i would add a control of the level of detail of visible connections (node icon preview only, main inputs outputs, all inputs outputs).

the problem isnt the texture reso,

the pb comes from the uv unfolding.

by the way, does someone know a maya rock generator plugin ?

Such a system would be not physically correct.

plus you can ajuste the lengh of a depht blur with the f factor (aperture) and ajusting speed or sensitibility.

and why do you want that in the render engine depth passes anc compositing are here for that... (when depth pass is available by ...

and what would you think about a plugin which makes a bound beetween the 3D software and the Octane render.
The plugin would contain shaders nodes, procedurals nodes, lights of octane..everything nedded... that we can setup into the 3D soft, and allows too to set the octane specific camera inside by ...
