Re: Caustics test at PT kernel: sun sizes, exposure levels and resolution screens at same noises

Hello, guys. :D

At 0.1 sun size on OctaneRender and on GIMP v3.x:
0.1x sun size at 8k-pixel@6.25% zoom.png
Amazing caustics is MAGIC for downscaled to 500x500 [email protected]% zoom* from 8k-pixel@100% zoom. :o

* - should use GIMP to open EXR FP32 image.

Best regards. ;)

Caustics test at PT kernel: sun sizes, exposure levels and resolution screens at same noises

Hello, guys! :)

VERY IMPORTANT for avoid any confusion due to weak precision of noises+colors of JPEG or of PNG image type:
-after completed rendering, should choose "EXR" image type with uncompressed, and with FP32 for insane color depth (this competes perfect true color at in the real life ...

[Sell] Wall@specular on glossy floor (oldest OR benchmark)

Hello, guys. :)

Can you remember oldest "Octane Render" benchmark (April 2010  ) - here ? :)

But this original "Wall" scene is edited (changed material from "glossy" to "specular") by me in 2014. ;)

Still no Polarizer available in camera node

Hello! :)

I watched "Polarized Lighting" about "OTOY 2019 GTC Slides and Presentation Materials" through Youtube but newer OR has still no polarization support for 6 years ago... :(

I used to rotate the sunglasses with orange lens for variable intensity of sky color, for variable reflection of ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2025.1 [current 2025.1]

Hello, guys. :D

Nice release!

I tested this new #octanerender with 2 "new" benchmark.orbx files with default tile and new 128-tile (but !!CAUTION!! - new 128-tile samples due to up to 9.5GB VRAM used as very high :O :) ) at Path Tracing kernel only on my RTX 4090@all stock speeds ...
