Re: OctaneRender 2.45 screenshot/preview
I think that thread was actually an old thread from 2010.
The double post that regurgitated it looked like a spammer.
It must have been in the Public forums methinks.
Your sanity is intact

Re: [Unsupported] Blender plugin v1.xx - Code
1.10 seems to be fine here. I'm a very basic user though so I'll just run through what I did.
Downloaded 1.10 from earlier post, Downloaded BF 64bit Win r35701.
Unpacked r35701, ran blender from the unpacked folder. Noticed that it had my recent blend files listed from the older version I'm using ...

Re: Is this really the animation capabilities?
I've been running some short animations every night this week.
Had one instance of the windows message "Octane has stopped working".
After closing that message the next frame kicked in and the rest of the frames rendered fine.
Was able to go back and render the single frame and save it in sequence ...

I could change the poles material so they are not reflective which would remove the obvious reflections.
I know how to do it Blender but getting the same quality in Blender is way beyond my skills at ...

Help required with reflections and shadows please.
Hi I'm posting this here because I'm not sure if I need to make changes in Blender or Octane to achieve what i'm after.
I'm not in the 3D industry but I'm using Blender and now Octane to create some animations to teach my students electrical theory.
The picture below is a still from an animation I ...

Re: Couple of questions about the license.
Thanks for that GeoPappas.
That brings another question then, is there a limit to how many times the license can be transfered between computers.
I purchased earlier today and for the price i'm happy regardless of the answer to that question.
