Re: Octane Realistic plant scene rendering
Without DOF it looks a bit unnatural.

Re: Cooling Down
Cannot read the car shell damage\dirt type. Looks more like slime, not dirt or rust.

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 2.26 [current 2.xx]
Are there any specific settings, or version of drivers, or else to make 1080 work in pmc of Octane 2.26? EVGA 1080 FTW failed to render with pmc kernel but works with PT and DL. Same time 580s work fine, just each is about half of 1080 performance.

Re: Modo Plugin v2.0?
I upgraded to Octane 2.0 and Octane Modo plugin 2.0. I installed Octane 2.0 standalong next to 1.52 (and doing no render they run both the same time) but did not install new Modo plugin yet. Do I have to uninstall Modo 1.5x plugin or 2.0 operates correctly without uninstalling 1.5x?

Re: Animation within OctaneRender Standalone?
Having enough close acquaintance with these two products (DS and Poser), I would like to warn against wasting money on the appropriate plug-ins. If you intend to go pro, better stick with Blender. Though, I saw the examples of serious professional animation jobs done with participation of DS2(!), in ...

Re: Good motherboard for maximum GPU
Right now I'm running 3 gtx 580 3 gb on asus p9x79 ws in blue and black and white slots. Experimented with each card running solo. The difference in productivity is equal the difference of default chip frequencies, absolutely not slot dependant, as I also tested the videos set with EVGA Precision to ...

Re: Good motherboard for maximum GPU
remember it is not just about number of pci express slots....but number of usable lanes
a lot of motherboards will only give you one or 2 lanes running full 16x....
You won't need full 16 lines per video card to render with octane. x4 is the sufficient number of lines, tested, no render speed ...

Have a look at ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS and ASUS P9X79 WS.
