Re: White Balance

Currently, you have only response curves from still/print film stocks.
I think it would be really appropriate to include motion film stocks from Kodak and Fuji, too. Maybe along with a grain slider whose pattern depends on the film stock chosen.
Along these same lines of color management, have you ...

Re: will new GI Direct Lighting allow for pass exports?

Wow. Instancing will be ill, that's one thing which will be explosive for your platform, seriously. Can't wait to be able to go out to 32bit source, too. Pass control and it's exercise will be nice when we have that range from quality without banding, a better alpha channel/edge matte, and color ...

Re: Keyframing

That's what I was dreaming of. So elegant it's beautiful. Did you have the camera updates working from Octane to the 3d Program, too? Is that even a possibility?

It's a core functionality that would remove the need to create a animation/keyframe system in Octane. Is this functionality possible to ...

Re: Keyframing

Tracking and keyframing the camera location, rotation, fov, depth of field, and focus location would create a very flexible way of building on the good ideas we have while using the Octane camera.
Exporting the Camera info out with a ...

Re: Processing Octanerender support, including *.obj export

Hey! That's really cool! Have you tried any iterations with audio or dynamically generated geometry? Or, their particle system and boids?

ME109vsP51 - Octane Sketch of an engagement

This was all rendered as 2K - 2560x1080. Was looking at anamorphic sizing and this fits with RED and is bigger than Panavision.

Starts with check down of materials and lighting, camera.
Work scene up a little with mountains and p51.

No Post or Effects just Octane and working with the camera and ...

Re: Camera Matching from Blender to Octane

Radiance,

Camera animation would be a big change!

Re: Exported image reference and camera animation:

Will that include transferring the camera information from Octane in a common format like .chan for use in 3d app, Nuke and other camera tracking programs?

The Workflow seems to be:

1) Set up ...

Re: most wanted features

1) Output 32bit color TIF, EXR, HDR
2) Export a camera's setup back to 3d Program from Octane.
3) From Image Export Button include the camera reference and all settings as XML. That way if you need to perfectly recreate an existing look, you can in seconds versus loading a new .ocs.
4) Improve ...
