Very nice. I have Some myself (but not limited edition new years competition winner ones :( ).

I will buy a GTX 460 soon. I know that the GTX 460 in general has good overclocking abilities because there is not much heat emmission compared to a gtx 480.
So you could probably make a 470 out of an 460 (in terms of speed) in general.

I just tried to replicate your actions in Octane 2.3 v5 and it seems to be working fine.
Could you please indicate just how long you mean by 'some time' in regards to the time it takes for it to render out?
Also have you tried these combination of actions with a test scene? i.e. chess ...
