at the moment M1 chip support is experimental, it works under Rosetta 2 for now, and only Standalone is supported for now.

Do you have another Mac with recent AMD GPU on board?

no it's not about that, I need general information about using this product, I'm not at all familiar ...

I'm trying to get back in to 3d stuff.

but I have no idea how to use OctaneX, I just saw the news the native full Big Sur + m1 release is here and it's free of charge (at least the first year, from what I can gather) for apple users on m1 and pro Macs, which I am.

But how do I use the app? are ...
