Ok never mind, I think it was the particular texture that I was using that was causing the effect, the architectural glass made my sphere appear smooth... Sorry I guess I just need to mess around some more with the textures :oops: ... Any body know any other sources for textures other than the LIVE ...

Ok, I'm pretty new to Octane and Sketchup... in fact to all 3d software.. When I export an .obj file from sketchup to Octane and apply a texture (in this example the custom GLASS texture from the online db) My surfaces are heavily faceted...
