About OctaneBench, it doesn't support Metal GPUs for now, we need to wait for stable 2021 SDK, to have both CUDA and Metal ...

new a oc material, then in its opacity channel add a texture like gradient, then c4d die , sometime Mac osx die

my osx is Big Sur 11.2.1
