I've been away from Octane for a few years. In fact I'm calling from the distant past, aka Octane 1.55. It is sufficient for my needs.
At least, it was sufficient. I dusted off Octane and tried to render something last night and it said my GPU had no CUDA cores. It's a GTX1060 6GB.
This morning I ...

Re: Poser plugin - buy or upgrade?
Oh! I thought the plugin was 99, my bad. In that case there's no point in getting the earlier version. That also takes away the rush to get a free upgrade on the plugin, so I can probably wait till the end of the month

Poser plugin - buy or upgrade?
I have standalone Octane v1.5, I'm about to upgrade to v2.0.
I'd also like to get the Poser plugin, I have the 1.20 demo but it's not licensed.
I'm not sure how to go about this: if I upgrade the standalone Octane I get a free plugin upgrade, but the plugin has to be licensed first. I was going to ...

Re: Feature request: support for dual-monitor
+1, definitely. I've asked for this before. Put the render on one monitor, and all the nodes and gubbins on the other. The majority of renderers can do this already.

I just loaded an old V3 figure and exported it to Octane, the model uses 4 diffuse maps (head, body, eyes, and teeth/gums). If I open the same figure in Octane, it uses 32 texture slots - one for the ...

Camera aiming?
Is there a "point the camera at the selected mesh" button? If not, would it be difficult to add one?

Relocating the Render Window?
Is there some way to undock the Render Window and move it to another location? I have two monitors and I'd prefer to have all the gubbins on one screen, with the 2nd screen given entirely to the Render Window, but I can't find a way to do it.

As a humble home user/hobbyist, I'd like to say the drag-n-drop capability has made a world of difference already. Thanks guys!
