I eagerly installed the new version; then I found that loading certain materials from the database caused Cinema 4D to crash 100% of the time. (It might be that there are some unsupported nodes in these materials.)

Fortunately, I tried reverting to the R2 version, the material spheres loaded, and ...

I think what he said about the API interface is to automatically align all nodes with "Auto Arrange selected";
