Re: Octane 2026.2 for Cinema4D - v1.8.4

Hi,

I updated from version 2025.4_v1.7.2 to this one, but now the rendering is very slow and unusable with old scene.
What is causing this?

I encountered the same problem today, but strangely, I was still using 1.8.4 a few days ago, and the rendering time was normal then (maybe 3-5 ...

Re: Octane 2026.2 for Cinema4D - v1.8.4

I think there are some issues with the new version of Shader Color, as some unknown changes occur after converting the color space/modifying the view transform (project).

Re: Octane 2026.2 for Cinema4D - v1.8.4

I have updated to v1.8.4, but I cannot find the "version conversion" button mentioned in the release notes ("Added version conversion for texture nodes"). Could you please provide a screenshot?

Re: Octane 2026.2 for Cinema4D - v1.8.3

Thank you, team
Ongoing project had some light changes or something happened.
I rolled back for the moment.
Back to v1.8.2

I encountered the same problem, but I found that I was using a light preset (Environment Light) created in an older version. I have now corrected the gamma value for my ...

Re: Octane 2026.1 for Cinema4D - v1.8

Today I tried the new version of X-Particles and found that I can preview when rendering nxMesher, but it crashes when sending a full render. Turning off nxMesher also causes Octane to crash. I don't know if this issue is related to Octane or INSYDIUM, so I will report it to both places.

Re: Cinema4D version 2024.1.2-R3 Build 0102

Just to confirm, are you talking about converted Redshift materials or octane materials?

Just octane materials.

Could you share this material with us?

There is also a phenomenon of software crashing when loading Octane materials from the Plus Library (GSG Plugin).
