Ok, i wanted to create a new set of tires for this car (the old ones are from my first ever car model Mercedes CLS). Sidewall was designed using Zbrush (baked dirt/occlusion and normal map) , the tire tread was textured in Mari, and Maya was used for everything else (modeling, UVs etc). Rendered ...

Standard stuff: contrast, levels, color CC, lens correction (applying distortion effects ), chromatic aberration..... no glow, no diffusion, no bleach effects.

BMW M5 WIP First Update

Hello Octaners,

Here's what i'm working on, BMW M5 2011/12 model. I'm still tweaking the materials/textures, the interior is half way there, the tail lights almost there, no exhaust etc.... :D

What can i say, i wanted to finish and post this model for the competition. Now, it's 2 and a half months ...

Great job,

when you look at the video and you can almost play the sound in your head that goes along with it, this is a sure sign that the animation is immersive and GREAT....

gabrielefx, great job man. I think i saw all your renderings and they are just awesome. It just goes to show how important it is to have the freedom to move objects/lights and watch the results interactivly. Simply stunning work :)
