that did the trick thank you! I guess it was only emitting the particles on frame 2 so moving the range over one fixed it.

Hello,
I have been trying to render out a frame range of my FLIP sims white water and every time I try it gives me a black file.
I have the file split up to have the wave geo as one layer and the WW as its own, the wave geo worked perfectly fine when I rendered out it as a frame range.

Sorry, I'm not sure to understand what you are trying to do. I suppose that you could use an attribute to control de material, but it is hard to say. Do you have a simpler example scene?
