Heh, that cardboard on the material ball does give the impression of a carved pumpkin.

I have performance issues in 3dsmax with my latest nvidia drivers (win64) but need the CUDA 4.0 for rendering with Octane on the same way.
I would like to downgrade grahpic drivers but install CUDA 4.0.
Is it possible? And what do I need? The SDK?

There are devices known as KVM extenders, typically used in server environments to bring the console elsewhere, outside of the server room by using a single Cat5 or Fibre network cable.

Are you refering to the background seen in the material ball preview?
Typically I simply create my own textures and apply them as needed to a simple curved surface below and behind the models. it is really one of the most simple things to do.

There shouldn't be problems with this, as long as the card is stable. Though it can cause calculation errors that may not be corrected without the ECC found on the Quadro and Tesla cards. Typically its these errors that trigger a lockup or freeze type crash.

Heh, I checked back on that site less than an hour later, Looks like their viral test is working. That bar has already moved at least 10% .. at that rate that offer will be done before the end of today.
