Re: 3dsmax keeps freezing
First try to check if this remains after you disable in Octane settings the GPU which is used by Windows for the display.
If this solves the problem - then this is the case when the CUDA rendering process eats the resources needed by Windows display and 3ds Max OpenGL or Direct3D...

Re: Max Plugin 2.04 not working with Titan X?
I have the latest nvidia drivers.
Do you have a Titan X? Is it working for you?
I've tried several v2.0 now, can't get Titan's to even show under devices 90% of the time.
If anyone's running TitanX with the 3DS Max plugin, please advise which version of the plugin is working for you?
thanks

Max Plugin 2.04 not working with Titan X?
hi,
just upgrading from an old version of Octane v1.2 .
Do Titan Xs work with Octane v2.04? All I get is a colored square?
Which version of the 3DS MAx plugin is suited for Titan Xs and doesn't require major scene conversion?
Any help appreciated. thanks

Re: OctaneBench
When Maxwell were supported, they were very slow, but then, after optimisations GM204 (980) run as fast as Gk110 (titanBlack & 780Ti)..for sure faster than Titan =), but the most will be influenced by Your cooling, that makes quite a differense =) You can make 980 or even 780 faster if You wish ...

Re: OctaneBench
I've been away for a while so excuse my ignorance.
This bench indicates that the 980 is quite a bit faster than the Titan http://render.otoy.com/octanebench/results.php?sort_by=avg&filter=&singleGPU=1 these days.
Is that correct? Have the optimizations improved the performance to that degree ...
