I'm considering a desk mounted PC so I thought that round cables would be easier to route if the GPUs were located away from the MB. Something like this:

It's not essential though. I'll probably only have two ...

Round PCI-E Riser Cables
Hello,
Does anybody know if there's such a thing as a round PCI-E riser cable? I'm planning to build a new PC and having round cables instead of flat ribbon ones would make routing/cable manegement easier.
I've tried searching for it but haven't been able to find anything so far. Is there a reason ...

Re: Beckmann GGX BRDF
You can set your own defaults in C4D.
Once you have it set up the way you like it (BRDF model, etc.), go to Edit>Set As Default. It will save it in your presets folder in the content browser. To reset just delete the default from there.

I might be wrong but doesn't Octane triangulate everything? Maybe that's the reason.

Re: Coloured Glass Issue With Alpha Channel
Thanks for your help Beppe.
I had tried that, and it worked. The problem is that I need to be able to adjust the background separately in Photoshop. I don't want to have to re-render the image if the client wants the background brighter or moved a bit.

Thanks Beppe,bepeg4d wrote: enable the Affect alpha option in the Common tab of your specular material
But I should have mentioned that the first three images in my initial post were with Affect Alpha enabled. The problem is that the colour of the glass isn't there when the alpha channel is applied.

Coloured Glass Issue With Alpha Channel
Hello,
I'm having an issue with coloured glass. When I save the image with the alpha channel enabled, the glass has no colour. When I save it with alpha chanel disabled, the colour is there. The problem is that I don't want the HDRI included as I want to place a background image separately in ...

Re: ******* Wishlist and feedback topic ********
Hi Ahmet,
Is it possible to add PSB support for saving render passes? PSD files have a limit of 2GB so if if I try to render a hi-res image with lots of render passes in 32-bit it goes above that limit and doesn't save and I have to save it manually from the C4D picture viewer.
Thanks,
Rico

Re: Why are my car windows like magnifying lenses ?
It's possible that your windows have no thickness, so it's rendering as though it's one big solid piece of glass.
I don't use Max but in Cinema 4D I just extrude the single planes to give it some thickness and this solves the problem.
