Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 2.26.1 - 7.20.5 Win [LAST 2.X]
While it's unfortunate for my situation, I do understand. Octane and the Maya plugin are at a point where they will solidify moving forward, but that means leaving the older versions behind out of necessity. Right now my company/studio is sort if in flux, so our software pipeline is frozen where it ...

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 2.26.1 - 7.20.5 Win [LAST 2.X]
Is there any chance that v2 of Octane for Maya will get a quick update to support Maya 2018 and 2018.1?

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 2.21.1 - 6.4 Win [TEST]
I noticed that the material edge rounding feature does not work when a Mix material is assigned to geometry, even if both materials feeding the Mix material both have edge rounding values set.
The edge rounding is only visible if I assign one of the materials feeding the mix material directly to ...

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 2.15 - 6.0 Win [TEST]
While that is a bit tedious, it's definitely a good fix if a scene is already set up and lit to where changing the overall scale would be prohibitive. Thanks for the tip!

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 2.15 - 6.0 Win [TEST]
I know this is a tiny change request, but would it be possible to add additional decimal places to Edge Rounding parameter in octane materials? At the Octane scene scale I frequently work at (1 unit = 0.0254 meters), the current Edges Rounding minimum of 0.001 produces huge bevels which look ...

Re: Maya 2015?
HUGE +1 here! It'd be great to take advantage of some of the modeling tool enhancements (particularly improved boolean and bevel algorithms) for the type of work I do. Hopefully support for 2015 is coming in the next Maya Plug-in update

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® 1.33 - 2.3 Win [TEST]
Just curious, is there any way to install this version into Maya 2015 that was just released? I was hoping to take advantage of the new boolean and bevel algorithms for modeling there, but I can't lose the Octane render plugin. If not, then do you plan to add Maya 2015 to the list of install ...

Re: Can't get blackbody light working on geometry
Ah scratch that. For some reason the "distribution" attribute is defaulted to 0 when I should've set it to 1. Nevermind and carry on.

Can't get blackbody light working on geometry
I tried looking elsewhere in these forums, at the manual, and online for tutorials, but I can't seem to find any example of someone doing the usual workflow for assigning a diffuse material with blackbody emission to geometry in Octane for Maya. I'm using the latest 1.20 version with Maya 2014.

Re: OctaneRender® for Maya® v1.17 beta [CURRENT]
Thanks for the quick turnarounds, JimStar. However, I'm able to enter hypershade now without an instant crash, but scrolling up and down through my materials after working in the scene for a minute or so still causes crashes. Instead of a Fatal error message, it immediately goes to the Windows 7 ...
