Re: Octane 2026.4 for Cinema4D - v1.9.5

Ok, if converting to image sequence is not a valid option, better to render with alpha channel and compose in AE.

ciao,
Beppe

That's indeed what I do. It's just that being able to see a preview of how things line up and how the lighting looks on top of the drone footage in the live viewer is ...

Re: Octane 2026.4 for Cinema4D - v1.9.5

Please note that you need only few clicks to convert any video into an image sequence via C4D Picture Viewer.

And yes, Standalone doesn't accept video assets, so it doesn't make any sense to develop a feature only from c4d plugin side, that doesn't work in OctaneRender ecosystem.

If you want to ...

@Tim0042:
We have changed the way log works.
The specific message is a warning, nothing serious, but I'm with you that shouldn't be there, thanks for the report!

@hoffwerr:
This is a request for Standalone Core team, we cannot introduce a feature like this from plugin side only.

Re: Octane 2026.4 for Cinema4D - v1.9.5

Any chance we can get animated textures working if they're video files?
It works fine on both geometry and background objects if they're image sequences.
Video files are a different story. On geometry, it shows up on the live viewer but it doesn't refresh unless I refresh the scene. On background ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.2.1 - v1.6.1 Hotfix

There's a little bit of an annoying behavior with the Render AOV Manager saving path.

If there's a project in let's say "J:\Project\ABC\Project.c4d" and you use the standard Save options of C4D with the File set as "$prj". It'll save it in "J:\Project\ABC\Project.exr"
The Render AOV Manager saves ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2024.1.2-R4 Build 0103

Is there something going on with standard materials ? They're suddenly just not working and rendering as white.

I'm on Driver 572.83. Latest C4D and Octane builds. RTX 4090

Edit1 : tried clean installing the driver. Didn't seem to fix it.
Edit2 : tried multiple different studio driver versions ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2021.1 RC1-R3 (Current 2021.1) 10.08.2021

Thanks for the great release Aoktar,

Would it be possible to be able to render out both distributed and non-distributed version of the Info passes. It could be very useful for some passes especially the Z-Depth for example to have both an aliased and anti-aliased version of it. It would be super ...
