Hi,

Has anyone got Octane 4 working with a mesh volume object?
So, Procedural volumetrics mode / Mesh volume shape? If I use cube or sphere modes it works (although the sphere looks like a cube to me) but with Mesh I get nothing.

On LW 2018.0.3.

Thinking aloud - does LW ever move images when you save objects (either through layout or through modeler/hub)? Just wondering if it maybe LW moving them to another subfolder when you update a model...

I've done some quick tests here but haven't managed to reproduce as yet.

When it loses connection with the images the paths are completely empty in the Octane node viewer (as below). You can recreate that just by moving one of the LiveDB textures into another folder.

I should be able to spend a little time tomorrow on it, I'll see if I can reproduce in a consistent way.

So for example, if you have a big scene with lots of textures, so you organise them into subfolders eg:
/Images
--> fruit textures
--> vegetable textures
--> other textures

So yesterday for example I did a render, added another camera to render from a different angle and boom one of the LiveDB textures had lost sync with all its images. Just wondered if anyone else has had LiveDB materials that they've imported randomly lose sync with images they are linked to? I've had this happen on a couple of projects now. I'm also getting some inconsistency about where images are saved when imported from LiveDB (which may go some way ...
