Re: Gpu setup with Octane+c4d on Mac Pro
So now that I setup the titan and the gtx 780, when I pick both cards to render, octane goes to the 3gb of the 780.
If I use only the titan it uses the 12gb. When I render with both cards it renders faster of course but with the vram limitations.
I'll try with the other machine as a slave and see ...

Re: Gpu setup with Octane+c4d on Mac Pro
Hi Beppe,
I use two titans in one machine and two gtx 780 in another. I'm thinking of making the same setup in both so 1 titan and one gtx 780.
my reasoning is to use the 780 for the screen and leave the titan solely for rendering.
is this a wise choice so that the titan will work full on ...

Gpu setup with Octane+c4d on Mac Pro
Hi, I'm having issues understanding how to optimize the use of my graphic cards with octane.
I have two mac pros, one with two titanx cards and the other with two gtx 780 cards.
my question is related to the vram memory usage and priority. When I check both cards in the device usage window I loose ...

Re: Why does the live viewer take so long to load?
I get it that the scene takes some time to load but there should be some progress indicator so that the user doesn't think that the software is frozen.

Re: Why does the live viewer take so long to load?
Thank you Yambo for the link.
I have experimented with the settings but in fact what I have found out is that when I send the scene I have to wait until the image appears in the live viewer. If I touch anything before the image appears cinema freezes and I get the color wheel and have to force quit ...

Re: Why does the live viewer take so long to load?
Yes sorry aoktar,
I'm new to octane and just starting with the gpu setup here.
I'm working with a 3 million polygon scene, of two buildings with some hi resolution trees and some render instances. I'm using the 2.23.2 rc1 version plugin on cinema with two macs. One with two titan x cards and the ...

Why does the live viewer take so long to load?
The live viewer takes a really long time to load. Sometimes it just freezes and I am forced to quit the application.
Any idea how to solve this? Octane is really fast but this just takes away from the workflow.
