Re: Denoiser not working in Blender Octane

Thanks. I looked at the settings and denoiser was checked, I’m just not sure how compatible this version of Blender is with M1 Max Apple computers

Denoiser not working in Blender Octane

Hi

I am having issues in Blender Octane. Most of everything is working ok although it does seem more complicated than the version in C4D.

However the one issue I am having is that Denoising doesn't seem to work . I have followed the instructions for this and the viewport just stays grey. If I ...

Re: RNDR renders Object Layer colour black

The scene file is massive. Over 6Gb. Not quite sure how it ended up like that. It had curves that started flickering when rendered as hair so I hard to convert to GEO.

I believe you have sent me a private message and this is the scene file that I am having problems with.

I am using RNDR online ...

Love affair with RNDR wearing thin

OctaneStandalone.jpg

As much as I initially loved RNDR, it does do very odd things. Somewhere along the way one item got different textures and I notice about 3 spurious frames where an object flicked into the top left of the image. This is really not reliable, when it works in Standalone on your ...

RNDR renders Object Layer colour black

I just render 40 frames of an animation with an Object Layer colour pass. In Octane Stand alone I checked the output and it was correct. However I have downloaded the files and the Object Colour pass is Black on all frames.

How can I get this to work. Very annoying to say the least. I had ...

Spline rendered as hair in Octane flickers

I have a scene with a few splines set to Hair and when I have rendered the ORBX on RNDR some ofthe hair flickers on and off. It’s not all but there are some that are doing stuff they shouldn’t. What is best practice for using splines and rendering as hair in Octane. This is a really quite annoying ...

Re: Corrupt export to ORBX: all animated objects are jerking

This sounds great but I think this is a windows build. I am on a Mac and feeling left out! Hopefully a Mac version will come soon

Re: Corrupt export to ORBX: all animated objects are jerking

@studioyf I just want to clarify that it is an added frame issue which places duplicate frames into the ORBX animated export. This creates the jerky animation. It’s almost like a time based 25 to 30 issue you might see in After Effects, but it’s not frequency based just odd frames here and there. I ...

Re: Corrupt export to ORBX: all animated objects are jerking

I can confirm that ORBX export from C4D does create jerky animation. I followed these instructions and the output animation works perfectly. This is a confirmed bug I think and I hope OTOY or Maxon or both can look at the issue because it's a real buzz kill.
