Re: OctaneRender® 1.024 beta 2.48b TEST (lin/win)
I'm testing the new version (in linux) and I can't find the portal material . Where should appear?
About the new multi-GPU engine, I have to say is the first time I can use my GTX260 in conjunction with the GTX470 and winning in performance. Good job.

Re: Octane Render Pre-Release Pre23 v4 (win/lin/mac) [current]
Sorry, but i cannot start octane. :( Crashes every time with the following message:
octane: malloc.c:3096: sYSMALLOc: Assertion `(old_top == (((mbinptr) (((char *) &((av)->bins[((1) - 1) * 2])) - __builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk, fd)))) && old_size == 0) || ((unsigned long) (old_size ...

Re: Octane Render Testing Pre-Release Pre23_3 [current]
hmmm,
could it be a fermi issue ? (eg GTX400 cards don't work ?)
can linux users confirm this ?
grimm -> can you post the exact versions of the toolkit/drivers you used in detail (and possibly download links) ?

In my previous post I mentioned that with the GTX260 works well, but it ...

Re: Octane Render Testing Pre-Release Pre23_3 [current]

Re: Radiance
As far as I'm concerned, there is no problem with things being delayed as it takes. The important thing is that Terrence will recovers fully. I really hope it's nothing serious.

Re: Octane Live Platform Testing Release (pre-23)
Although I use linux, a version is not available yet. I've done some tests on windows and this is what I found for now.
I must say that I have tested with the 258.96 drivers I had in windows 7.
-As julianb and zay have said, I have noticed a loss of approximately 9.5% speed with this version.

Re: Export speed
What I have implemented is simple, and we must bear in mind that the plugin in blender 2.5 is called for each frame of animation.
Initially exported normally, once exported, is called octane and begins to export the next frame and adding the frame number to the filename. When octane has finished ...

Re: Two cards the same speed at one !!
Hi Radiance
I told you some time ago (although as I once put a lot of issues, perhaps did not see) that when I tried two cards with the demo on linux, not working properly, but if using the commercial version (although at two architectures different was not much difference, but he had)
There may ...
