Re: Module house near the lake
Well, I usually never comment any work (just because I'm lazy), but in this case... yours are spectacular.
I'm not a professional so I haven't the knowledge to fully judge renders in general, anyway...
I think the main problem for most of the people in this field is to match modeller + render ...

Re: Octane stop working in blender animation
I had the same problem. I use Octane mainly for animation and find a percentage of less that 1% that O.R. crashes rendering a frame.
I solved the problem disabling the crash report error in Windows (so Octane closes without any prompt), leaving it render what it can and render again the missing ...

Re: Problem with emitter
Thanks for the help... normals matter but in a strange way.
The normals were ok but when I tested them pointing inwards well... see the pictures... the wrong direction works...
Am I doing some stupid error ?

Problem with emitter
I was playing a little with lights and I found a problem assigning the same emitting material to a different object (see pictures).
In the first picture I link the inner front cube to an emitting material but nothing happens. The same material applied to the inner back cube works (picture 2).
I'm ...

Re: Chrome finiture
I already thought it's a difficult task. Maybe it's better to find another neutral background, instead of pure white I mean.
Anyway don't worry, I really appreciated your idea, many thanks.

Re: Chrome finiture
Thanks matej,
Using something to be reflected is normally a very good idea but I don't know if my case is normal...
Here is a part that has to be included into the animation (I forgot to mention that I have to render an animation, I don't know wether this could give someone an idea).
You can see ...

Chrome finiture
Hello,
I have to render some chromed components in a white background.
So no pieces to be reflected...
Even worse some of them are squared (big flat surfaces).
It's the tipical situation of a mirror reflecting... nothing ! You can't see it !
Any idea of the setup of the material (or even the ...

Hello, here is a small video.
http://vimeo.com/16999862
It's something I'd like to add at the beginning of our video presentations (I don't know the english term).
I need some hints. I did it but I don't like it too much. :o
Above all, the water at the end is not so convincing...
