Re: Kitchen
This is one reason I've largely stopped using Octane for more computationally intense scenarios - the noise clean up time is exhorbitant. Beautiful render by the way, you might want to try the old trick of rendering at a multiple of the desired final image resolution and then scaling the image down ...

Re: Clarification sought - Octane Renderings
Thanks Roeland,
The glass pole was corrected in a later version, I suppose I sent one iteration back. I was pretty sure that the HDRI is spherical and not angular/cube based. Will give some other options a try - will take it back to basics where I'll utilize the HDRs provided with the Octane Demo ...

Clarification sought - Octane Renderings
My comment has to do more with what I'm noticing to be a signature of Octane renderings. I'm not sure whether to ascribe this to method of the artist or methods employed by the software but there always seems to be something amiss with lighting (gray midtones), unnatural sharpness of objects, and a ...

Re: OBJ file only has two input nodes
Thanks for the quick response. I use 3DS Max and I've followed the settings for export outlined in the manual and in the dedicated thread. What you've said is looking to be the case as all the materials are indeed VRay materials. Is it possible to export these materials with the OBJ file?
Thanks ...

OBJ file only has two input nodes
Hello everyone!
First time poster here, although I've been following for a while. I've run into a situation that I can't find a reference for - namely, whenever I've exported a file to OBJ from 3D Studio Max, the OBJ only comes in with two input nodes in Octane Standalone. I'm sure I'm doing ...
