Got it...so it's in foundry's corner to improve the export speed of alembic files, correct?
on the same topic.
I had a scene with a lot of "burst" emission particles and a replicator using the particles to replicate items.
The export was really slow ...assuming that is because Octane does not like ...

I am running into problem here.
ORBX does not export the animation of my camera.
(I checked it with stand-alone and on RNDR)
The scene has a camera with motion blur and particles with replicators.
Camera has baked animation keyframes (translation, rotation)
I tried Modo 14.2.v2 and Modo ...

Actually...the orbx are not too big.
Paul, are you planning to improve the export speed of the ORBX files? (Ii am currently using Modo 14)
Or is this something that is not under your control?

another related questions.
When exporting orbx files.
Does it always exports the scene frame by frame ? This is leading to really big orbx files.
In my case only the camera is moving and the scene is static.
Just wondering if I do anything wrong.

Modo octane renderfarm
Hi guys
I saw that Rebus etc are supporting Octane but always from inside C4d or Max.
I tried RND...which works..but having to export orbx files takes sometimes very long.
So I am wondering if there is a renderfarm out there that supports Modo/Octane?

Area lights and AO
Hi guys
I have a couple of AREA lights.
The problem I am having is that the AREA lights are showing up in the AO pass.
They contribute to the AO as if they are geo.
Any suggestions?

Hi guys
I am running in the problem that when I click on the "OcatneRender Setup" or the "Edit in Schematic" the schematic window pops up but its empty.
I delete the User CFG file ...but that did not do the trick.
Any ideas how to bring it back?

The motion blur is not matching between Modo and Octane
