Hi elsksa,
thanks for the feedbacks and to point on the weak points in my settings. However, specular depth is set to this amount to avoid the black areas behinde the glasses on the other parts of the scene (a lot of glasses next to each other, like in a bar).
I'll read the pages you copied me ...

black spots remain on glossy material
Dear All,
I'm having issues with one of my spare time task. I'm using instances of a table and instances of light, so on the attached screenshot, the two tables are exactly the same, as well as the light litting them is the same, however, the one on the leftclears up really quickly, but the other ...

Re: Blender Exporter 2.02
Hello guys,
I tried to use this old Blender Exporter with the new Blender 2.8 version, but I'm getting error message.
Do you plan to update the exporter and instance exporter to run with 2.8?
Thanks

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 3.08 TEST 6 [latest 3.xx]
Dear All,
I don't know if this is a bug or the desired way of working, but if using box-like geometries with toon materials, I can't achieve the outlines to be "highlighted" with the outline color. If I increase the outline thickness, the outlines not become thicker, but the whole surface starts to ...

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 3.07 TEST 6 [latest 3.xx]
Dear Otoy team,
I don't know if this is the right place to post my discovery, or even if I really found a bug in the latest release, but I can't find other topic talking about this issue.
The enclosed layer mask was rendered in 3.07 T6. As the corresponding scene has been made in T6 I couldn't try ...

Re: Huge render speed difference. Why?
No, I just changed the level of detail of the leaves, and then exported the tree as obj.
I use Plant Factory Exporter, not the full version (it's free). The bought tree models have the option to change the LOD of the branches, leaves, flowers/catkins, etc. separately. I left everything else ...

Re: Huge render speed difference. Why?
I figured out. The PF model had much more detailed leaves, and the LOD needed to be decrease to reach the same rendering speed.

Re: Huge render speed difference. Why?
You mean alpha in the opacity chanel to create the shape of the leaves?
Both model uses square shaped bilboards for the leaves.

Huge render speed difference. Why?
I'm asking your help in understanding the following situation, or to find a solution to it.
I have realized during my last personal project, that the rendering speed decreased dramatically after adding a tree model to the scene.
