Re: License for Octane VR
I dont think there is a VR version anymore. That was just a limited time offer. Now you can just buy the regular, full version to create VR content.

My trail for octane VR has expired, and from what I understand the metastases contest has ended. So can I still produce VR content and if so, what license do ...

+1 same here. Fantastic products, confusing marketing. And I've been using octane since the beta and followed the development closely. Some guides/tutorials would be helpful.

Re: Noisefree interiors?
Long time Octane fan here. Used it for my professional work over the last two years. I have to say that from my experience, Octane really isn't that fast compared to other cpu based engines (I'm in the process of switching to corona). Especially interior scenes. With PT it requires a bunch of ...

Re: NEW: OTOY previews OctaneRender™ version 2.0, further advancing thescience of CG rendering
I'm very curious about the "render scenes directly for new display types" feature. Are you just talking about built in image distortion, or can we expect something more sophisticated like presets for stereoscopic panoramas for VR?
Thanks!
Thanks!

+1 for material override. Such an essential feature (that I assume wont be hard to implement) for setting up lighting.

Re: Spherical Camera Stereo Render
Thanks for the detailed illustration.
I've done some "traditional" panoramas for a client as well a little while ago: http://www.pixeet.com/pano/DZNYNZRF
