Thank you Radiance. To me the important thing here is I could solve the issue and I can better try the Demo to discover what I am capable to do with your beautiful software. I am looking to buy a license very soon.

Yes, I included the .mtl file generated by both Maya 2009 and 2011. But I still choose the .obj file to "Add" the mesh. When I don't include this mtl file the mesh imports with one material but it behaves very well inside octane, as it is supposed to. Is when this .mtl file is present in the same ...

Hi, I am very interested in octanerender and I think this is the right direction. Good price and great concept for me.

I read about it and regarding the new 5000 for about $2500 it offers 20% better performance than the 4800 and it doesn't have any gaming corresponding part. But anyway, does the Quadro line presents any advantage over the gaming parts?. I thought for octanerender it wouldn't matter.
