I see, the problem was, I was using compressed files (with the .sc at the end). That doesn't seem to work. With .bgeo files it works.
Thanks for the quick reply and for your help!

instancefile attribute feature usage
Hi,
I could not find any info on how to use the instancefile feature. Supposedly it's supported since build 2020.1.5.
However I could not get it to work. Is it supposed to work with .orbx files only or is .bgeo.sc also supported?
In either case, .orbx or .bgeo.sc, nothing shows up in the render ...

Re: Shutter Alignment
Awesome, I would appreciate that very much, thank you!juanjgon wrote:Hi,
Sorry, this feature is not exposed in the plugin, but I suppose that adding a shutter alignment option to the motion blur features should be easy. I'll think about it for the upcoming Octane 2020.2 builds.
Thanks,

Shutter Alignment
Hi,
I was wondering about setting the shutter alignment in the Houdini plugin.
Apparently it's a feature in Core as indicated here.
However, I could not find any mention of it in the plugin documentation so I was wondering what's up with that.
Thanks

I would appreciate that very much, as it gives you good control over your colors.aoktar wrote:I've completely removed this feature. I may bring back with a different way if you used to it and wish back.

Hi, i like the new zoom feature.
However, this seems to have replaced the gizmo where you could zoom in on an area and get a color value read-out.
Is that gone for good now or has that moved to another shortcut?
Thanks

Re: Node Selector Node Input number
Can we set more than 8 pins with the selector node ?
If you want to switch textures/colors, then you could write an osl texture like this:
shader Texture(
color in0 = 0,
color in1 = 0,
color in2 = 0,
color in3 = 0,
color in4 = 0,
color in5 = 0,
color in6 = 0,
color in7 = 0,
color in8 ...

Re: IPR X11 ERROR : cannot find the GLUT window
I also use i3 as my window manager and the same crash occurs with the same error message. Distro is Arch Linux.
I don't know if you want to investigate this further, as you mentioned somewhere else the development of a new Qt5-based IPR.
For me, this certainly is not an issue at the moment, as I ...
