Talking about compositing features, how hard would it be to add the option to replace the 'checker' background with an image?
Makes even more sense now with the shadow catcher.

With Octane v. 1.0:
GTX 470 reference card - 2.42
GTX 470 non-reference card - 2.50
GTX 480 reference card - 3.06

And with Octane v. 1.02:
GTX 470 reference card - 2.77
GTX 470 non-reference card - 2.87
GTX 480 reference card - 3.52

The non-reference card is Gigabyte Super Overclock, with 3 fans ...

Try changing "Index" (the bottom parameter of glossy material) and the diffuse color. Try using an RGBspectrum node for "specular". Something should work in the end.

Thank you very much for the new plugin updates! :)

With the next plugin release (not the integrated one) is it going to be possible to export nested instances (like: Cloner inside another Cloner) ?
And basically, being able to do MoGraph animations with lots of instances freely with ...

In Indigo RT, the supersampling factor does exactly that - it makes the renderer render at higher resolution and automatically downscales it for the display buffer and final saved image. By bumping this number to 10 I can completely get rid of any firefiles and the output becomes butter smooth ...

Not sure about real SSS, but absorption for liquids and glass is certainly possible - Indigo RT has it in GPU mode and it's very fast. Real scattering might not be as parallel of a process though. But simple absorption would give glass and liquid materials in Octane a lot more realism.
