When I installed CUDA 3.2, it asked me if I wanted to install the 32-bit OpenGL compatibility drivers. I clicked yes. Could this be an issue?
Here is my libc information.

Re: Core dump on Ubuntu 10.10 with CUDA 3.2
I have been using the NVIDIA installers downloaded from their site, devdriver_3.0_linux_64_195.36.15.run for 3.0, and devdriver_3.2_linux_64_260.19.26.run and cudatoolkit_3.2.16_linux_64_ubuntu10.04.run for 3.2. The 3.0 installer hangs half way through and leaves X in an unusable state. I have to re ...

Re: Core dump on Ubuntu 10.10 with CUDA 3.2
No luck. Ubuntu 10.10 doesn't seem to like the 64-bit 3.0 drivers. It hangs whenever I try to install them. I've just managed to get my system back to a functional state now, and I'm a bit leery of futzing with the display drivers again. Any estimate of when Octane Render will be tested against the ...

Re: Demo causes Win 7 to crash
Thanks kubo.
I was using the benchmark from the demosuite.
I am also trying to get it working on Ubuntu in another thread. I would prefer to have it working in Linux, so I'm focused on that now. When I get it working, or if I can't, I'll return to testing on Win 7.

Re: Core dump on Ubuntu 10.10 with CUDA 3.2
gdm was NOT happy when I installed 3.0 over 3.2, and I couldn't for the life of me get 3.2 to re-install. The NVIDIA install couldn't find the source-tree, even though it had installed fine the first time. I tried re-installing kernel-devel ... no luck.

Re: Core dump on Ubuntu 10.10 with CUDA 3.2
I have an FX3800 for display and two C2050s. I just downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver (260.19.36) and it did not help.
I will try to install the 3.0 dev drivers and see what happens.

Demo causes Win 7 to crash
When I load a scene and try to render it, Octane Render causes Win 7 to hang and then spontaneously restart
I have Win 7 64 with an FX3800 and two Tesla C2050s, and CUDA dev-drivers 3.0.
I've tried rendering with just the 3800, and just the two C2050s. Same result.
I will do more testing.

Core dump on Ubuntu 10.10 with CUDA 3.2
Hi there, everything installs ok, but when I start Octane Render up, it flashes the splash screen, and then exits. On your web-site you specify that it only works with the CUDA 3.0 drivers. Could the fact that I have 3.2 installed be the issue?
