aaand it might actually be because of the chaos texture node. When adding it everything slows down.

Found the reason why. I had used the copy/paste function to get an octance material placed on multiple items. As soon as I deleted all those, the render viewport was snappy and fast.

After updating to the new version of Octane, updates in the Octane Viewport has dropped to a crawl. Adding new materials or textures starts the "Refreshing.." status window, and it takes almost a minute to restart rendering. Also, minor edits in a material, like turning the transmission from 0 to 1 ...

@face_off: There's no changes in the settings in either Modo or Octance, except for animation keys being added to the channels in the Octane camera settings on the Focal Depth and Auto Focus (you know, they get changed to red state).

I'm having odd issues with HDR Light Studio. Pretty sure it worked fine in the previous update, but with the new one there seem to be an evil connection between LS, Octane and the camera settings in Modo. Whenever I move light around in LS, the camera's focal lenght seems to change. A reload re ...

I can verify that the Modo plugin works really well with HDR Light Studio (v4.3) - the update is instant.

An absolutely great Octane plugin - thanks!
I'm experiencing quite a slowdown in the user interface when using the plugin, even when only running with one video card. Actually there's no difference between using one or two video cards, it's the same cursor lag.

I tried following the instructions by Pacific88, and it installed fine - but exporting scenes to Octane has so far failed. Looking forward to the official plugin i finished!
