Re: Possible to Render While Still Editing / Previewing

Thanks for the quick response, aoktar!

I assume I'd need a second license of everything, correct?

Possible to Render While Still Editing / Previewing

Hey everyone -

I'm sorry for the basic question, but I'm trying to see if there is a network setup I can put into place allowing me to send scenes for render while still being able to edit and use the live viewer. I know I could use RNDR or ORC, but we have a couple extra machines (each with 2 GPUs ...

Re: Exporting Model for conversion to gtlf with Octane Material

I'm so sorry for the generic ask. Here is some more detail.

For a client, I'd like to leverage google's and Apples various browser-based AR options. To do this, I need to create a gtlf (and then convert that to USDZ in the case iOS, but we can hold on that for now). For simple objects, I could ...

Exporting Model for conversion to gtlf with Octane Material

I apologize if this has been answered in the documentation or elsewhere. But I'm hoping to export some models for AR. A couple of them are simple enough I could make the materials in standard C4d for Physical render. But, I'd like to avoid that if possible!

Ideally, I want to export the model with ...

Re: Textures with Alphas Not Rendering to PV but Showing in LV

I'm so sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification and got deep into some other textures.

That was it. Render All Scene (Deprecated). Not sure how it switched to that, but I didn't even think to look there. We're rending perfectly now. Thanks aoktar!

Textures with Alphas Not Rendering to PV but Showing in LV

OK, I'm feeling very dumb at the moment. I have a model with a base material (mostly black) and then 2 universal materials that are masked out with an image texture in the opacity channel. In the Live Viewer it looks perfect, exactly as I want. When I go to render, only the base material is showing ...

Re: Filling in an area created by a Bump Map

Hey Jay - Yeah good eye. I did try that and it had no impact. I also tried Beppe's idea but I think my image is actually the culprit. Maybe! I'm going to keep working on it so I have more options. But your original method worked great so I'll go that direction for now.

I appreciate the follow up ...

Re: Filling in an area created by a Bump Map

Hey Beppe - I'll give it a go again and see if I can make your method work. I do like the control you mention. Either way, I've got a solid solution so I really appreciate you guys jumping in to help me!
