Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
Paul, you rock! That completely fixed the problem for me as well. No more crashes when I select options from drop-down boxes.

Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
FWIW, I just uninstalled Poser and did a clean re-install of the application and all of the content, but it didn't fix the problem. Trying to change material node types or the kernel settings still instantly causes Poser to immediately crash. :(
Edit: HOWEVER! It seems that the crash is only caused ...

Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
Good idea--attached!
One other semi-random question: Is there some sort of SSS effect in the default material settings when you import Roxie into Octane? I know that Poser applies an SSS effect to her automatically in its native renderer, but I don't see an SSS medium node in any of the Octane ...

Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
Also, to render Roxie at the moment (prior to a Smith Micro subd fix), you can simply select Roxie -> Figure -> Skinning Method -> Poser Traditional. That will remove the seems.
Right you are--thanks, Paul. Hopefully Smith Micro will get a fix out for the subdivision issue soon, but getting rid ...

Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
Once you've set rayepsilon to 0, you can save it as the "default" by saving that rendertarget as the default for all new scenes (rightclick he Settings tree - Save as Default).
Ah, cool. I will do that.
I haven't been able to reproduce this yet. Try moving the Poser animation slider to the next ...

Re: Poser Pro 2014 problems
Ah, good call! That was it. The eyes are now rendering correctly, and I don't even have to turn off the corneas.
Now I just need to figure out why the mesh is broken. It almost looks like it is subdividing/smoothing each polygroup separately, but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Poser Pro 2014 problems
Just doing a test render with the new "Roxie" figure in Poser Pro 2014, using the Octane Render Poser plugin (v. 1.16a5). Just the default, zeroed character with the default materials.
As you can see, there are some problems. The eyes render black, for one. I searched the forum and found the thread ...
