I'm not sure I fully understand the issue. Have you tried checking the invert box on the normal map?

Re: Normal Maps does not work

Did you bake the normal using the octane camera in bake mode? I could never get a good normal map bake from octane in 3dsmax...

I looked at your file, not sure what the issue is, the material in octane is glossy and the one in scanline is not?
The issue is octane doesn`t render normal map ...

Re: Normal Maps does not work

Hi be_fast,
I'm doing some tests, could you tell me which software you used to generate the normal texture you're using? Was it created using the 3dsMax tool?

Paride

Normal Maps does not work

Hi everyone. Is there any way to force normal maps work. I tried gamma, I tried green channel inverted, nothing helped. Here is an example of the test scene where I baked normal map and it works perfect for scanline render and does not for Octane

Re: Denoiser result not applied to the rendered output

Looks like no one interested in my problem, and it was not possible to tell me I can output de-noised result as a render element instead of octane passes output, which doesn`t work for me.
Or I am the only one using 3ds max plugin. I hope my solution is useful for anyone

Denoiser result not applied to the rendered output

Hi everyone. I love how denoiser works, but it does only if I am saving frame individually through the "save image" button on the realtime viewport. In this case I am getting duplicated image file saved with the same name but __Denoised_beauty added at the and. Denoiser result not applied to the ...
