Thank you guys for the clarification! Very much appreciated!
I have one more question for you.
If i adjust a texture in C4D using it's internal texture manipulation tool, will Octane place the texture correctly? Sometimes i don't create UV maps, just place materials and decals.
Thank you!

Can Octane convert Cinema 4D materials correctly?
Hello,
I'm just wondering if Octane can convert all settings of Cinema 4D materials into it's own materials?
Also, when do you plan to implement emissive materials?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Alexander

Re: Pre-Sales Question
No problems, the internal Blender 2.5's exporters works just fine. I could export obj and render it in Octane. I just want a good exporter for Cinema 4D and Maxradiance wrote:but the 2.5 is still in development

Re: OBJ Export Settings for Octane
also, it might be best if you download the demo suite, from our downloads page,
unzip it and open the OCS file with File -> Open in Octane of for example the chessset with images or the benchmark scene.
Did both:
Right-click on .ocs file and choose "Open with the help of..." from Windows Explorer ...

Re: OBJ Export Settings for Octane
ok well I've downloaded your second 12345.obj and it loads fine here.
It is about 100x bigger than real life though (as opened in Blender) and I had to rotate and zoom the view in Octane to find it initially.
Instead try setting the File>OBJ mesh import preferences>Scale to cm to metres first and ...

Re: OBJ Export Settings for Octane
Thank a lot, pixelrush!
However i got no luck with that.
I've cleaned the drivers from my laptop. I installed 197.16 WHQL drivers only. The issue still persists.
I will try these steps on another computer, but i think it will not help either. Hope i'm wrong.
