Hi, same problem and solve with this tips.
Open terminal, enter : sudo -s (enter), prompt for your admin pasword
and enter : xattr -cr
open the folder where c4doctane-R25.xlib is stored and drand and drop this file on terminal windows, you will get something like:
> xattr -cr /Applications/Maxon ...

I don't get smooth rendering in simple cylinder or tube creation in 3dsmax, I already see the polygon face on final rendering, don't understand why, I never have this problem with vray or other.

Perhaps I cannot understand the concept, but I installes OTOY Autodesk AMI, work fine with my browser but thers is not render octone installed, just 3dsmax, maya, revit.. but in 3dsmax the octone render engine not present and the stand alone octane software too.

So, this AMI is not to test Octane ...
