You could try this trick I found recently to get motion blur for octane outputs. Have your scene opened in blender and enable vector blur and Z and disable all the other passes as you wouldn't render anything but a vector pass. Then go to compositor and add image node ...

Only thing that distracts me is the sharp line on the tires. I'm not sure if its supposed to be there :)

First try at animation, just a test to see how it looks like. Now brainstorming into a longer one with more planes, AA or flak fire etc. :lol:

Thanks, it is meant to be the real plane, but I agree, it looks alot like a toy plane. I'll get it in a better environment and try to make it more metallic.

hey, I guess my little question wasn't noticed, so I ask again ;)
So with instancing we could have like 1000 trees that are the same meshes, but no extra rendertime/memory usage?

Thanks people for your opinion! I agree, it should be faster. I used my brain, no tutorial :) For the paint, I used boolean modifier (cookiecutter type mesh on a separate layer) and other stuff was pretty much animating visibility and some oldschool keyframing.
