Ahh sorry, I just meant the standard Houdini scattering, not octane, am attaching file; I discarded the vex attempt because I think I need a fresh start; I just need the noise to stick to the surface

2D surface Position noise on 3D object
I have a sphere with multiple scattered points on it, tried to use the attribnoise function applied on P, but the points are as expected transforming away from the surface; is there a way to apply 2D surface position vector without affecting the radius of the scattered points? Thanks

Instancing Picks up Original Object Transform
I have a sphere object I created and applied a transform to it in my geometric modeling process, when I instanced the object, it appears to be picking up part of some of the original transform? I have applied a pscale attribute which I have then randomized it. Could this be partially affecting it ...

Thank you Rohan that worked, naming the isooffset to density. I guess this is the only way currently to do atmospherics for now I am guessing. Now I have to figure out how to do a falloff from the surface haha. By the way I bought your Octane volumetric series, thank you so much they are very ...

IsoSurface Volume not rendering
So I made a spherical isosurface volume to create a planet atmosphere, set it to Octane Volumes, and then used an Octane Volume Medium as follows, but it is not showing up:
